Our Team

Get to know author and men's ministry speaker, Holt Condren, as well as contributing  writers Jacob Schimmel and Lee Tuxhorn

Holt Condren is the "Chief Storyteller" of Surf the Woods. He is also owner and founder of Ink Custom Tees, a leader in men's ministry and an avid wilderness explorer. For the past eight years, he has been the lead mountaineer for a team of scientists and archaeologists that are exploring Mount Ararat in search of the remains of Noah’s Ark. Holt is featured in the 2015 movie documentary, Finding Noah.

With his combination of business and adventure skills, Holt helped found TrailblazeNow, an organization that helps move men through their fears and into their God-inspired dreams. Holt lives with his family in Arkansas.

Jacob Schimmel serves as Surf the Woods "Executioner," handling the operations and business matters for our organization. He is also Director of Finance at Ink Custom Tees and business manager for his family’s farm. He has a wife, Holly, and three children.  He loves hunting, hiking, sitting by a campfire and especially enjoys seeing men connect with God and other men while on retreat or in the outdoors.  He’s a pretty good cook and enjoys making folks feel at home.  He is passionate about seeing men rise up and be all that God intended them to be.

Lee Tuxhorn serves as a board member of Surf the Woods. Husband, Girl Dad, Business Owner, and Smoked Meat Artisan, Lee Tuxhorn has a lot on his plate but his supreme desire is to be a disciple maker as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28.  As a regular contributor to the Surf the Woods Blog, Lee’s gritty authenticity can be seen as it’s woven throughout the stories he tells and the lessons he’s learned.
